Thai prime minister vows closer ties with China

BEIJING, April 18 -Thailand's prime minister, Yingluck Shinawatra today promised closer ties with China under the "comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership" recently established.

Yingluck, who first visited China as prime minister, said in a speech at the Party School of Central Committee of Communist Party of China that the creation of the partnership meets the common interests of both countries.

"Establishing a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in itself shows the trust, responsibility and mutual respect between the two friendly countries. We are forced to seek opportunities for strategic cooperation to achieve mutually beneficial results. Thailand learn advanced science and technology of China Railways Storage, recycling of resources and management of water resources, "he announced.

Yinguck arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a three-day official visit. The first woman to hold the post of prime minister of Thailand is accompanied by executives of some 100 Thai companies.
