Fire destroys at least 75 houses in Far East Russia

A huge fire broke out today in the Amur region in Russia's Far East, and spread to at least 75 homes and buildings.

So far, no reported deaths or injuries. Neighborhood residents were evacuated.

Three firefighting trains belonging to nearby railway stations and 12 fire trucks from neighboring communities are directed toward the area to help fight the flames.

According to local information, the disaster occurred because the fire lit by the locals to burn out of control grass.
